Originally built on January 17, 1979 at General Motors Van Nuys, CA plant, this Trans Am was custom ordered and shipped to Don Stone Motor City Pontiac in Decatur, Illinois. Made popular by the "Smokey and the Bandit" film, this style of the 1979 Trans Am is affectionately known as the "Bandit" Trans Am. It is in truly spectacular condition, and we have the extensive InstaVIN history report which shows no previous issues or incidents. Additional accompanying documentation includes the 1979 MVMA Specification Packet, full new car documentation, a 1979 Pontiac Full-Line Catalog and Buyer's Guide, a copy of the original dealer invoice, and a copy of the original broadcast sheet.
